Welcome to the 2nd Annual Festival!

ReelAbilities International Film Festival is dedicated to promoting and celebrating awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with disabilities. The festival brings people together to engage in stimulating conversations around inclusion, access, and justice, leveraging the power of cinema and cultural engagement to challenge the status quo and build a more inclusive and equitable world.

ReelAbilities Film Festival Denver is for everyone including those with disabilities, disability advocates, artists, allies and more. Hosting this international festival in Denver allows us to bring this programming to a local level, fostering partnerships with area organizations doing incredible work to serve disability communities and advocates, and utilizing our platform to highlight these partners and connect festival goers to their programs and services.

Accessibility

Accessibility is of the upmost importance to the ReelAbilities Denver program. Here’s how we’re ensuring our offerings are equitable and inclusive:

English-language subtitles that depict narration, dialogue, and any sound cues are built into all film files. Icon description: an orange circle with “OC” in bolded white capitalized letters.

Audio Description

Narration describing visual elements for the blind and visually impaired are built into every program as separate catalog listings. If you require an Audio Description device, please enter AUDIO as a discount code when purchasing your tickets. Icon description: an orange circle with “AD” in white capitalized letters and three parentheses emanating from the curve of the “D.”
