Pivot Policy

Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, ReelAbilities Film Festival Denver reserves the right to pivot to an all-virtual model should public health regulations necessitate it. In the event this should occur, all in-person tickets will automatically be converted to admissions for the same films delivered virtually and no refunds will be issued on the basis of the change in the delivery model.

health and safety policy

At this time, if you are unvaccinated, we require that you remain masked while utilizing our facilities and participating in our programming. Please continue to bring your own mask but should you forget, we will have them available at the front desk.

If you are vaccinated and are more comfortable wearing a mask at the JCC, we invite you to do so without any risk of judgment. We recognize that this is an ever-evolving situation!

Just as we have encouraged our staff to do, if you are not feeling well or are symptomatic please refrain from activities at the JCC until you are not symptomatic.

For those with In-Person Tickets:

If you are experiencing symptoms on the day of your scheduled event, please contact the box office. We will exchange your in-person ticket for a virtual ticket for the film in question. No refunds will be given.

seating policy

Seats for all in-person films can be selected at the time of purchase. Seats are reserved, first-come, first-served at the time of purchase, and will not be held for any other reason. Please be respectful and leave ADA seating for individuals who require accessible seating.

Refund Policy:

The Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing public health mandates surrounding it have had a profound effect on the ability of venues such as the JCC Mizel Arts and Culture Center and ReelAbilities Film Festival at the Elaine Wolf Theatre to offer their typical in-person programming in profound ways. With this in mind, we have moved to a hybrid model allowing for the possibility of patrons to attend film screenings in person when permitted by local authorities or determined safe by Mizel Arts and Culture Center and JCC Denver leadership.

With this in mind, we offer the following guidelines and policies on refunds/returned tickets or passes as the situation continues to shift:

  • In the event of a cancellation of an event, all tickets will be automatically refunded in their entirety. For festival pass holders, a prorated refund will be provided based upon the type of pass and the number of canceled events relative to the overall number of events still offered (i.e., not canceled).
  • Should an event, or events, be postponed, all tickets and passes will automatically be honored for the rescheduled date(s). No refunds will be provided in this case.
  • ReelAbilities reserves the right to “pivot” to a schedule of some or all virtually-screened films with 24-hour notice to patrons should Mizel Center and JCC Denver leadership determine either due to public health mandates or conditions in the facility that the safety of audience members would be jeopardized by an in-person screening of a given film, a set of films, or the entire lineup of those offerings. In this eventuality, all tickets and passes will automatically be converted to “virtual” and links for all applicable film screenings to which patrons hold those passes will be distributed immediately. Should this arise, we will also continue to ensure at least seven days of online availability for each film.
  • Refunds will only be processed under the above circumstances.
